Mr. Marco Ng

• Instrumental Program - Violin Teacher

Mr. Marco Ng is a violinist and conductor based in Hong Kong. He earned his Master of Arts in Violin Performance with First Class Honours from the Royal Academy of Music, studying violin with Nicholas Miller and conducting with Dominic Grier and Peter Stark. He also received a teaching Licentiate and a recital diploma with distinction.

Marco started learning the violin at age six. He graduated with First Class Honours in Music from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, completing his Bachelor of Arts in Music. He has performed across the UK, Macau, and Japan, winning first prize at the Inter-School International Performance Challenge in Okinawa. He also participated in numerous masterclasses and has been coached by Cho-Liang Lin, Patrick Yim, Trey Lee, Maria Włoszczowska and more.

Marco has worked with renowned conductors such as Sir Mark Elder, Ryan Wigglesworth and Edward Gardner. He was selected by the Royal Academy of Music to be part of the London Philharmonic Orchestra side-by-side project, performing on stage with professional musicians. He has also served as concertmaster for the Chung Chi Orchestra and the University of London Symphony Orchestra.

Marco currently teaches violin and conducts the Shatin Philharmonic Orchestra as well as several school orchestras. At Rainbow-Melody, he serves as a violin teacher, where he nurtures students’ musical growth.
